Our recipes are the same as when we opened our doors, treating you to the same fresh-baked aromas we grew up with.

a sweet journey through time

1980:

John D’Orsi founds The Gingerbread Construction Co. and quickly sells out at his first Christmas trade show.
1990

1987:

The company opens its first retail store in Winchester, MA and expands its product line to include muffins, gourmet cookies, and more.
2000

1992:

Additional production facility opens in Woburn, MA to meet demand of the retail store.
2022

1996:

Second retail store opens in Wakefield, MA.
2026

2003:

Launched e-commerce site to support nationwide shipping.

2004:

First Food Network appearance, featured on “Roker on the Road” and later on “Unwrapped”.

2013:

Appears on ABC’s “The Chew”

2024:

Serving our New England communities and customers around the country with fresh-baked goods for 44 years and counting.
