Warm Weather Shipping for Our Most Meltable Treats

It may feel like fall is on the way, but temperatures are still soaring across much of the country—and our chocolate, cream cheese icing, and other refrigerated or frozen goodies aren’t big fans of the heat.

Shipping somewhere warm? Next Day Air will be the only option available at checkout for many destinations throughout the South, Southwest, and Midwest. There’s nothing special you need to do—slower shipping methods simply won’t appear when temperatures or transit times could put your treats at risk. Please note that Next Day Air Saver is not available.

Shipping somewhere cooler? You’ll see all available shipping options at checkout. Ground and multi-day services are automatically limited when the journey may be too long—or too warm—for your order to arrive safely.

A $5 warm-weather packing fee is included in the shipping price for every perishable order. This covers ice packs and a heat-shield liner and is charged just once per order, regardless of the shipping method selected.

A few more things to know: On especially hot days, we may briefly hold your shipment to give it the safest possible start. If a slower shipping method is available and selected, we’re unable to refund products damaged by heat in transit. Planning a large or unusual order?
